| Introduction | I am part El Salvadorian and part Chinese.
The El Salvadorian side of my heritage is easy to figure out. I grew up speaking Spanish, eating the authentic cuisine, and respecting the culture. However, the Chinese side of my identity continues to be a mystery, so I am now on a journey of self exploration in Hong Kong. What would be the ultimate souvenir from this experience? Finding the other half of my identity, of course. This is the story of a girl who will EAT Chinese dishes, observe how the the Chinese PRAY, and LIVE every moment in this unique culture as if it were her last. This is my story. |
