If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
The word dirt is entirely false-soil is made up of three types of particles: silt, sand, and loam respectively mixed in with rocks, living critters, gasses and decomposing materials.Mud, in New England tends to be made of iron-rich, sandy loam mixed with water. Clay is sandy loam-deficient, silt-rich soil and water. Almost was an agronomist in college. natural sciences are fun!
