| Introduction | I've been interested in alternative architecture since I was a teenager. My father an award-winning ( and "out there") architect in Los Angeles, supported this interest by helping me build a library of books on everything related, including alternative energy. I hand built a house in the California desert before relocating to Minnesota where there is enough water for a reasonable human density. I am chagrined that most of the relevant basic technology was developed either here in the 70's or in other parts of the world since. I apologize in advance for being brutally honest.
