Escape Route 2 - 2019 Casita Roadtrip Exploring the Rockies Plus!

| Introduction | We are updating our blog to reflect our current three-month 2019 summer road trip with our Casita trailer from Dutch Flat through the southwestern parks of Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado, then up north following the Rockies to Yoho, BC and returning to California. This blog previously chronicled our 2017 trip to Alaska with our Casita. Earlier entries from 2014 described our trip throughout the west camping at a variety of national and state parks and in 2015 we included pictures from our fabulous 3-month trip to France (sans Casita, of course). Life is good and our travels provide us valuable lessons about tolerance and an understanding of different lifestyles, the history of our land, and the importance of protecting our environment for our grandchildren. Our philosophy on our trips - to soak up as much as we can and to ensure that the journey is as remarkable as the destinations we seek to explore. The name Escape Route originated from our Catalina 25 sailboat which we sold and exchanged for our land yacht - our Casita - hence the name Escape Route 2. |
