| Introduction | Hi I'm Julia AKA COCO. Some children whom I dearly love gave me the nickname and it's stuck. I've always loved cooking and now our family is on a journey of trying to only eat REAL food. Meaning we don't eat food out of packages with more than a couple ingredients. We are also on the path to eating a more traditional diet consisting of raw milk, lots of fats, grass fed meats and loads of fresh produce. I spent my college years in North Carolina and the time I spent there formed many of the views I have now. My roommate in college is now a practicing doula and she helped me realize so many things about birth in America. Because of her, I chose to have a homebirth. The birth experience was life changing for me( in a good way) and my hope is to empower other women to have the birth they desire. I'll also be sharing my journey as a parent! Who knew it was such a TOUGH job. I hope to share openly about the way David and I choose to parent, not to prove we are better, but to be a safe place for people who go against current parenting norms. |
