| Introduction | HENRY LOUIS VIVIAN DEROZIO, the young master of young Bengal, was a radical humanist & ideal educationist. He appeared in a dark period of India’s history when the light of true education was inevitably needed. He, as a teacher, spread this light to his young students, & within a very short period he won their hearts, & successfully built them as respectable human characters with all moral values, as well as the fearless warriors against the inhumane behaviors of orthodox Hindu society. His pupils were so much affected with his teachings that they could never leave his ideals in their entire life. Those golden children of Bengal, known as Derozians in the name of their beloved master, gave birth to the modern & made Derozio’s dream successful. Today, on Derozio’s 203rd birthday, this Blog is started on his pious name & completely dedicated to that fiery young teacher, as a tribute from my side. |
