Introduction I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, USA, in a lowland area called Plum Bottom, which became the setting for my novel with the same title. A wide valley bordered by a creek and a river, it was a beautiful place to grow up; it was also a flood plain. In writing Plum Bottom, I also used another setting drawn from my life—having spent two summers as a waitress, in two different resorts, I drew from both experiences for the setting of the "Vernal Springs Hotel Resort" in Plum Bottom.
InterestsWriting both poetry and prose, Art - pastel painting, once lead a hiking club in the Sierras with my husband Charlie, our four grandchildren
