| Introduction | I am a regular 30-something guy. I have a wonderful wife and two boys and a girl(ages 6, 4 & 2). I am what I like to refer to as a recovering Southern Baptist. I have been fortunate enough to have been saved from such a self-destructive belief system through critical thinking and a whole lot of therapy (well, the therapy just helped me identify that I was on the path of self-destruction, leaving the church was my own idea). After vigorously studying the bible and other religious writings (various traditions) as well as what science has to tell us about the probability of the existence of a divine being, I finally came to the conclusion that all of these gods are nothing more than an invention of the human mind. |
