| Introduction | From a young age I was a Red Wings fan. I remember going out with my parents on weekends to watch the Wings, and they were mesmerizing. I remember when I got my first Wings jersey. I was in the third grade. It was Christmas. My family and I were in Florida. My parents told me Santa wasn’t real. Then they gave me a Chris Osgood jersey. After that, I really didn’t care about Santa. I remember my first Wings game; they lost to the Calgary Flames. I remember my first parade; Ozzie blew me a kiss and my 9 year old self fell in love instantly. I’m pretty sure I was close to fainting. To this very day, the Wings are still a huge part of who I am. They bring such joy to my life and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. My all time favorite Wings include, Steve Yzerman , Nick Lidstrom and Chris Osgood. More recently, I have gained a strong liking for Darren Helm, Niklas Kronwall, and my FAVORITE FINN, Valterri Filppula. I dream that Tomas Holmstrom will someday narrate my life. I love his accent.I mean have you heard the man speak, IT’S AWESOME. My other dream is to someday play sock toss against Darren Helm. It will happen, someday. |
