| Introduction | For most of my life I have been making a living as a builder of machinery for industry, and I have hundreds and hundreds of successful machines of my own design in operation in more than 18 countries around the globe. When someone with this experience tells you to forget about saving up for a set of PV panels for the backyard and start planting a garden instead, maybe you should listen? When I say that your desire to "save the world" by a buying a hybrid car is pure delusion, perhaps it is worth your while to at least read on a bit to find out why I feel this way so strongly? Let's just say that if industrial pollution and fossil resource depletion are problems, more factories making technological gadgets like solar panels, giant windmills, and electric cars cannot be a solution. |
