Location	Woodbridge, VA
Introduction	I gave up eating meat in 2004 while living with my friend Carla in the Italian Market in South Philadelphia. This, coincidentally, was also when I discovered how much I love to cook. The Italian Market was an awesome place to get into cooking, because of the abundance of really fresh, quality ingredients. This also made it easy to make the switch to being a vegetarian, because there were so many great meals that I could prepare (with or without meat) with all the great food around me that I never felt like I was missing out. Katie and I share a mutual love of cooking and eating vegetarian food, which is why we've started Veggie Bacon. We wanted to take our passion for these two things and try to share them in a positive way. // I live in Woodbridge, VA today with my three cats and my boyfriend (all of whom are carnivores, by the way). I have a basic Monday to Friday desk job, but dream of the day that Katie and I can open our own vegetarian restaurant, host a vegetarian cooking show, write vegetarian cookbooks, or maybe all three. Who knows - maybe creating Veggie Bacon will be our first step along the way.
