| Introduction | Growing up, the time I've spent in my mother's studio, which she now officially shares with me, has always been educational as well as inspiring. For years I tortured myself trying to paint like my mom. My mantra at that time was "Art is hard." Somewhere along the way, I started applying what she had taught me over the years to more personal endeavors, and started enjoying the process. My mantra has now shifted to "Art is exhilarating!" Although, admittedly, it has never stopped being a challenge. |
