Introduction	Dayna Melton was born and raised in the burbs of Atlanta, Ga. She is currently attending Kennesaw State University to acquire her BFA with a concentration in drawing and painting. Mostly experienced in traditional drawing and painting, she explores a wide variety of different mediums and techniques. Her art is inspired and referenced from a plethora of things which include different elements of nature and the female figure. Recently, her pallet consists of limited color and her paintings are exploring the overwhelming pressures of conventional traditions in the face of the conflicting views of modern day liberations. Dayna continues to experiment with color and different techniques of painting to stay away from routine. No more fair weathered friends.
Interests	summer and fall, oil painting, print, laughing so hard i almost pee, sunshine, polaroids, my southern roots, traveling, the beach, new places and faces.
Favorite music	Bob Dylan, The Shins, The Adolescents, Velvet Underground, The Cramps, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Minor Threat, Hank Williams III, The Kinks, Beach Boys, Band of Horses, Dead Kennedys, The Exploding Hearts, and party mixes.
