| Introduction | Philosophy in general can be defined as the love and search for wisdom underlying all branches of human knowledge. Thus, we ask what assumptions underpin the discipline of Mathematics (they differ depending whether the mathematician is a so called Formalist, Intuitionist, or Conceptualist. These are the differing ways in numbers as a system are known. So these schools of thought about mathematics are the stuff of the study of The Philosophy of Mathematics. |
