Introduction	My name is Amy Clare and I have chronic lyme disease. I also have 2 children with congenital chronic lyme disease. Everyday living can be very overwhelming so I try to take it 1 day at a time. I don't know the meaning of the word "normal" anymore. My days consist of sleeping, my evenings are taking care of the kids, and my nights are filled with insomnia. It takes all that I have just to take care of the basic needs each day. We are all treating with multiple antibiotics, supplements and many herbs. We have to travel to Wisconsin 3 times a year to see our lyme specialist. My children struggle to make it through the school day and any extra activity is a challenge. I am so very proud of how strong they are and they push through life no matter how hard it is. I have learned that the only people who truely can understand me are other people with lyme. I hope by doing this blog I can help other family and friends in my life to see what we are going through. Imagine if you and your 2 children were diagnosed with cancer tomorrow. The odds of that happening are very slim. What we are going through is not much different...
