Introduction After planning a career in nursing to go back to Asia after university, and certain I would do anything but emergency nursing, I found out that God has an amazing sense of humor. I have been an emergency nurse since 2006 and love the challenge, variety, and practicality of the field. I worked with Mercy Ships in West Africa as an adult and pediatric surgical nurse, PICU and ICU nurse, charge nurse, clinical educator, and in a variety of other creative capacities as needed. During my time there I clearly saw God at work, and was captivated by the joy and testimonies of our patients. After an incredible few years with Mercy Ships, I returned to the US in 2013, where I finished my MSN-ED, began teaching nursing clinicals,, and delight in picking up shifts in a small local ED. In my free time I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, exploring tropical rivers, cliff-jumping, and camp/volunteer nursing. I am privileged and blessed to be a small part of God’s purposes for restoration and healing in any part of our broken world He calls me. The nursing adventures in faith have only just begun!
