| Introduction | I grew-up in Kenmore, NY (outside Buffalo), and I earned degrees in double bass performace and aerospace engineering at the Univeristy of Michigan in 2003. I have studied bass with Stuart Sankey, Diana Gannett, Paul Bresciani, Stephen Molina, and Derek Weller. I play on a 125-year-old french bass and a bow by gold-medal-winning Swiss archetier Pierre-Yves Fuchs. Currently I am the Principal Bassist of the Boulder Chamber Orchestra and also have played with the Boulder Philharmonic and Longmont Symphony. As an engineer I have worked on several projects for NASA including a plasma spectrometer for the MESSENGER mission to study the planet Mercury and various micropropulsion devices at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. |
