| Introduction | I am an Oklahoman by birth, educated in Arkansas and living in Texas (until we move back to Oklahoma). I work in healthcare, have taught in medical schools and family medicine residencies. Now I am returning to the study of history which is one of my first loves. My real loves are my wonderful husband and son. We are working toward farming and doing new things that involve care and stewardship of the land, animals, and ourselves and friends and neighbors. I am now middle aged and my favorite music group is The Beatles. Thus one might recognize the words In My Life as the title of one the most popular Beatle songs. One starts to think about life, death, accomplishments, and disappointments as one's life winds down. |
