Introduction	My husband, Brent, and I are finally going to build the straw bale home we've been wanting to build for decades. We are drawn to their earthy, organic feel and look, and heck, they are a very sustainable building material. We are wildlife biologists by degree, and DIYers by desire and penny pinching. We will have help in building the house, though. We spent the last 7 years in Maine living off grid. We are ready to now build our own off grid home in New Mexico with our fur kid, Suki. This blog will detail our Adventures in Mud and Straw.
