| Introduction | I'm a 42 yo mom, dx'ed with hydrocephalus in infancy, epilepsy in college (although I'd had seizures since infancy), and autoimmune issues in the past 2 years. Everything is under control or getting there. I'm also mom to Caren, a college-bound high senior; and Drew, 14 1/2, dx'ed with autism at 2 1/2 and Arnold-Chiari Malformation at 5 1/2. I strongly believe the autism and Chiari are connected, as expressive language and sensory issues--two known Chiari effects--are his only autism concerns. He also has dysautonomia (body temp disturbance, lack of thirst, sweating inability) that concerns me. |
