| Introduction | I graduated from Acadia University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts, and was a member of the Canadian Military as a Naval Officer, where I completed 10 years service. I graduated from The Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1995 with a Diploma of Technology in Naval Architecture. In 2001 I obtained a Masters Certificate in Project Management. I started Genoa Design almost immediately after graduating from Marine Institute, and operated as a consulting naval architect until 1999, when I started planning a new direction for Genoa. In 2000, Darren Letto joined me as a partner and Genoa Design International was founded. We provide detail production design and drafting, 3D modeling, lofting and nesting, to the Shipbuilding and Offshore industries across the United States and Canada, and recently in Europe. Genoa now employs 25 people in its offices in Newfoundland. Our Mission Statement: - Apply Lean Principles to Projects - Deliver waste-cutting workpacks to clients - Meet deadlines and budgets - Advance industry standards |
