Your bow is not broken but you've run out of arrows. How can you fake being a bard?
I would hold the bow as if it was a small harp and tell everyone that I have played it so much that all but one string has broken. Then ask for money to replace the old strings and tell them that the music I play is needed to align with the poems I write.
