| Introduction | ‘Ello! I'm an avid music appreciator, particularly of music following under the "Rock" banner: metal, alternative, folk rock, power pop etc, etc. This blog is pretty much a quest to find the best of new music in these genres. Each week, I'll cover all major, and some minor, releases in the genre. I’ll also have a FLASHBACK album every week, an older classic which could be chosen for any number of reasons, ranging from a recent re-release, some monumental anniversary, a spike in interest about it, or it just being something I've been listening to a lot lately. Obviously, I'm not buying all this music as it comes out, however I use legal sources, such as Spotify or Rhapsody, to listen to the release in question. I feel illegal downloading of music is wrong since it takes away money from artists in an already struggling genre. If you're interested in anything I review, please go buy the album, or if you can't, use a method of listening that actually supports the artist, or else rock really WILL die. Enjoy. I hope anyone reading this (all four and a half of you?) will find some new music, or be turned on to a new band by following this blog. |
