| Introduction | I am the founder of YANA (You Are Not Alone). This blog will chronicle not only YANA's commitment to eliminate loneliness, but also address the challenges of starting a new business, highlight caring individuals and their amazing work, and address anything related to loneliness. YANA was born of my own personal experiences and I am all too familiar with the feeling of being alone. Although I have had many successes and blessings throughout my life – including a great education, two beautiful children, and a successful investment career – I’ve also faced very personal hardships such as cancer, divorce, depression, and the loss of loved ones. During these highs and lows of life I felt extraordinarily alone, yet it was through these experiences that I eventually learned the priceless gift of human compassion. I now understand first-hand what it means to have just one individual reach out to you, to be there for you. My goal from this time forward is to share this knowledge and inspire others to extend a hand to those in need, friends and strangers alike. Remember to share these four words, "You Are Not Alone", with someone in your life today! |
