| Introduction | I am a freelance writer, editor and proofreader with over 16 years’ experience in the fields of medicine, science and technology. After gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree and Doctorate in Zoology from the University of Oxford, I joined The Medicine Publishing Company Ltd (now an imprint of Elsevier Health Sciences) in 1994, working as a Staff Editor on medical education and marketing publications. In 1998, I was promoted to the role of Managing Editor of the journal Medicine, a post I held until I started my own editing and proofreading business in 2006. I began freelance writing in 2009, as a Contributing Writer for the online magazine Suite101.com. I am now Feature Writer in General Medicine for Suite101 and a regular contributor to other sites. I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with the Open University, specializing in Cosmology and Quantum Physics. I also write fiction, and when I find the time I like to blog on the freelance life, sport, writing and anything else that takes my fancy. I live in Abingdon on Thames, a small Oxfordshire market town, with my husband and three cats. |
