| Introduction | This blog covers the family genealogies of my parents, former and my late husband’s parents – eight surnames - BISHOP, ANTHONY, MAYES, THORN, GENTRY, MINOR, HERGENRADER AND JACOBS with many collateral branches. My Mother-In-Law began chronicling her families just before she retired which peaked my interest in documenting my own family. She was a tremendous help getting me started on this incredible journey. One of my mother’s cousins had done an abundance of work on the THORN/HESTER Family. My second husband’s mother had compiled a wonderful list of names and dates of births, weddings, deaths, etc. for the HERGENRADER/JACOB Families. With the advent of computers and Internet, a hobby quickly became an addiction. I started the summer of 1982 at the annual and last BISHOP Family Reunion. After working many years on our family genealogy, I thought I’d like to share what I’ve found (in collaboration with my daughter) with family members and other interested parties.
