| Introduction | Prr has a PhD from University of Oslo, Norway in Cell Biology and has several years of experience with teaching as well as molecular cell biology research as Assistant Professor at University of Missouri - Columbia. Soon, I will (hopefully) also have an executive MBA from the Block School at University of Missouri - Kansas City. In this project, I will look at intellectual property rights (IPR) in China, with emphasis on medical research and biotechnology. I will look at the changes that have occurred since China joined the WTO in 2001 as well as describe changes that may come. I will try to outline a roadmap for how companies can approach the Chinese market and what they should do to protect their investment. In March 2009, I will be travelling to China as part of the research for this project. If you have any suggestions on how to make this a superior product, please send me a note. |
