| Introduction | I chose a man, who became my husband, eventually leading to a life of ministry. Despite a life vision far from this, an authentic calling to serve others and Jesus with abounding grace grew and then abruptly stopped. When my husband resigned from being a pastor because of an extramarital affair I chose love and forgiveness. Not because of worthiness, not because of saving any sort of face, but because we are called to do so. To love as we have been loved, and forgive as we have been forgiven. Leading others toward their story, only assessing against Christ, is a foundational truth that must center every Christian’s faith. Understanding how to love through Jesus, by first loving ourselves, then those around us, leads to the greatest vision. If we choose Jesus, then everything falls into place. Kevin and I are together, alongside of our beautiful children, Harper and Elijah, we live in Dallas, TX with no other animals despite multiple requests ;) |
