| Introduction | I left a 20 year marriage with someone I allowed to control me after leaving a 20 year home where I allowed a mother to control me, and they both were very good at it. At 40 years of age I did what I wanted to do all along -- pursued an education in writing. It took double the time it should have, but 13 years later I have an MFA and a list of things I want to write, including poetry, memoir and novels. There's a lot to do in the next 20 years! |
