| Introduction | I'm a native Nebraskan and a product of the broader Midwest. I was educated in Lutheran schools from age 3 to 26. After Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, I spent two years in interdisciplinary study in musical performance, liturgical study, and musicology at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN (2006-2008), eventually earning the Master of Sacred Music degree. I engaged in doctoral study in Organ Performance at The University of Texas at Austin (2008-2011), obtaining the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. I am an ordained clergyman in the LCMS, having served in pastoral capacities in both Indiana and Texas while pursuing further study. With such study finally completed, I and my family stand awaiting the next stage: an academic career, life in the parish, and/or something else really cool that serves my neighbor, supports my family, and that's up my alley in broad measure. I've been married to my wonderful wife Elizabeth for almost 5 years, and our son Thomas is one of the greatest near-four-year-old mysteries gradually being revealed to ever grace the earth. |
