IntroductionAaron Lanterman is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he developed and teaches classes on "GPU Programming for Video Games," "Analog Circuits for Music Synthesis," and "Guitar Amplification and Effects." He directs the "Retrofuturistic Hardware: Music, Gaming, and Computing" Vertically Integrated Project, which designs and fabricates devices sparked by real-world designs from the past as well as fictional formulations of imagined futures. The team documents and repairs vintage gaming and computing hardware, and finds ways to interface that hardware with newer equipment. He co-developed a maker-focused "Fundamentals of ECE Design" course that focuses on practical prototyping techniques.
