| Introduction | C.S. Lewis once said, "Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it." Those words in mind, I plunge back into the blogging sea with the hope that I will not drown this time. In theory, blogging should be easy, but in actuality it's quite intimidating. Not only is it one more thing to fit into a tight schedule, but you also feel an enormous amount of pressure to make your life appear a great deal more exciting, beautiful, and unique than it actually is. Regardless, if anyone is reading this, I would like to share bits and pieces of my story with you (yes, you). It may not always be beautiful, but it is the truth. Who knows, maybe from time to time you might find something funny, entertaining, or maybe even a bit encouraging. I'm Shelby. This is my life. Welcome to it. |
