| Introduction | My identity lies in the aspiration to continually strife to become a humble disciple of my spiritual master HIs Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. He came to this world to bring transcendental knowledge in the form of encouraging our relationship with Reality the Beautiful, Sri Krishna Bhagavan. Our aim is not to imitate our gurudeva (which would be impossible and indeed disasterous) byt to simply follow in his footsteps even from a great distance. What are his footsteps? To bring light in a dark world. Knowledge means light and ignorance darkness. where there is light there is no darkness. The only qualifications I have are the small desire, inspired by my gurudeva, to help myself by helping others to achieve a life of eternality, knowledge and bliss (satchitananda). Material qualifications ( I hold a Masters degree in English Literature from Simon Fraser University, plus some background in Sanskrit), are assets only in so far as they are used properly in the service of divinity. I have been in the Krishna Mission for over thirtyone years and continually strife to become a member of proper standing. You can all help me. |
