Introduction Artist, nature freak, iconoclast, and inveterate educator, I'm unabashedly curious about the world around me. I love walksplorations of green alleys and overgrown parks and cityscapes with old buildings, ongoing investigations of familiar bookstores, and rambling drives into the country for day hikes. I thrive on conversations with smart, funny, verbal people who have different backgrounds and experiences. I love to teach what I know, catalyze learning, and encourage others to express what they are passionate about. Walking and talking, listening to other people's ideas and perspectives, and sharing personal insights feeds me. Dogs, smart kids, and good-hearted men with open minds make my day. Helping someone see the world in a new delightful way always makes me happy. Northwest winters are not a fun-fest for me, despite being a native, but writing and being with great people really brightens things up.
