| Introduction | I live in a small town, where nothing is done anonymously. Which has its upside too ... if you are okay with running into at least four dear friends every time you try and sneak away to the grocery store in pajama pants, no make-up, and hurricane-hair. Soul-secrets and heart-longings can be out-of-place in a blog audience. So I reserved a small corner of the internet for pouring those out anonymously. First step? Create a "pen name." Creativity lacking, I went with it literally. Hence, Penelope. But this quiet corner of writing space is not about this writer, but more about my favorite Writer. The Author of LIfe itself. Some of my favorite moments are spent re-reading letters I have written to my First Love over the years. Recounting His faithfulness. Pleas for help when overwhelmed by this world, only to be followed up by times of being blown over by a gust of blessings. Constant, steadfast mercies too numerous to count. So I decided to post both old and new letters of love to my Savior here. Prayers written in ink ... or font, in this case. My small gift of penning out thoughts as a "thank you" for His very big gift of awakening me to life. |
