Introduction | Laura Castellví is a literary, technical, scientific, and sworn translator (Spanish-English), teacher, and simultaneous interpreter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Magna Cum Laude) from Hawaii Pacific University. She worked as a staff editor for Hawaii Pacific Review and was the Editor of Spinal Press Magazine. Genre, the International Journal of Literature and the Arts, published two of her poems: “Letter to Julio” and “The Spanish Gypsy”. She obtained a literary award for “El amor infinito”, received the first prize of the “Julio Cortázar Literary Contest” for “Dulce aroma a resina”, and the UMSA-AAL Literary Contest Award for "Profundidad de campo". The Association of Sworn Translators of the City of Buenos Aires invited her to conduct a literary workshop, "Introduction to Literature & the Southern Gothic Genre". At present, she is writing her second novel. |
