| Introduction | 14 yrs of my childhood were spent in Tirunelveli. Ever since, I have been in Chennai for the last 45 yrs. However, my affection and love towards my birth place is strong. To show my affection, I am dedicating this Blog to my TIRUNELVELI. I was literally a free bird until I graduated and enjoyed life as a comperer in DD Channel. It is cos of my 2 older sisters, I never had a chance to cook at home until my eldest sister got married. Being an affluent Iyengar family, my mom taught me all intricacies in the traditional cooking. As days passed by, cooking became an everyday affair and my passion too. I tried out various other dishes with the help of books and ofcourse from the inspiration of my friend Shyamala. We went for contests together & I have won quite a few of them. People who knew about my cooking have invited me to judge competitions on a few occasions. The interest of photography made me become a part of this Blog. I like to click pictures of food & Vaidehi invited to share my recipes & here I am :-) |
