| Introduction | Student, majoring in History of Art & Architecture, leaning to the architectural side of things. This is developing further into a will to be an architect. A minor in Philosophy was enough to tell me that I wish to pursue those things I irrationally label 'good', and whatever my metaphysical misgivings for the 'real' world, their insoluble nature implies that I best (in a wholly unfounded sense) concern myself with life's trifling physicalities. I have spent too long querying common sense and common knowledge except as a user, so as to avoid being one. The will then to architect is thus a desire, necessarily failingly, to develop Beneficient Human Environments, which is what I consider the profession ought be. Any success in this hopefully enabling the pursuit of belabelled goodlies. If I can learn to care for it anew, as when teenage and Political, I might take consolation in being a cricket, or historian of the immediate present. Towards goodly ends I am gratefully allied with a wonderful family, delightful friends and an applaudably resilient girlfriend, and am landed in a world that does admittedly have its good bits. I just wish that they were better advertised. Or cheaper. |
