| Introduction | Lagniappe is something extra...a bonus. Healthy living is very important to me but growing up in a family where all recipes start with a hefty chunk of butter can make it quite difficult. To stay sane I allow myself a little lagniappe...whether it's a a piece of Randazzo's king or time on the couch with my DVR and my dog Beaux. This blog is the story of my daily efforts to achieve the balance between who I am and who I aspire to be. So who am I? I'm a Louisiana girl to the bone. I love Cajun cooking, the Saints, Mardi Gras and the sticky humidity filled summers of the South. I enjoy cooking healthy meals for my family,running,dancing and working out.
