| Introduction | I’m all about creative and sustainable projects that mix design, nature and a bit of holistic living. I get stuck into everything from architecture and passive house design to home renovations and refurbishments, always looking to make spaces practical and inspiring. I also love getting my hands dirty with tropical and subtropical garden design, using concepts which incorporate biodynamic gardening, electroculture, hugelkultur, permaculture and syntropic agroforestry to really bring it to life. Outside the garden, I’m into off-grid living, hobby farming and holistic health spending a lot of time making my own herbal tinctures and medicines to support wellbeing. When I’m not busy with hands-on projects, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen baking sourdough bread or having a go at alcohol ink painting |
| Interests | I'm Fiona, a hands-on creator and home educator with a passion for holistic living, a love for the land and a drive to keep evolving. When I'm not diving into passive house design or having fun in my sub-tropical garden you'll find me exploring off-grid living, holistic health practices and getting creative – whether it’s baking sourdough or experimenting with alcohol ink painting, I’m always up for a challenge! I’m a proud mum of 3, home educating our 2 teen sons and am besotted with my two beautiful grandies. To me life is all about having an open heart, a positive mindset and big dreams. I find my zen at our family’s block in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains or with my toes dug deep in the sand or swimming in the sea. |
| Favorite movies | Too many to mention I love light -hearted comedies and movies which cause for pause and reflection. Life is short and the world too wide - live in the moment and know this too will pass, make the moments count because very little ever lasts. |
| Favorite music | Soft rock, classical, jazz and blues - anyone who knows me knows there's always music playing in the background. |
| Favorite books | Some books which have influenced me are 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear, 'Think & Grow Rich' by W. Clement Stone and Napoleon Hill (aka .. 'this is not a book, its an exercise'), 'The Greatest Salesman in The World' by Og Mandino (study it morning noon and night - gamechanger for life perspective), 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle, 'Start With Why' by Simon Sinek, 'Self Heal By Design' by Barbara O’Neill (a brilliantly Godly blessed woman who understands the power of natural healing), 'How Would Love Respond' by Kurek Ashley and 'I Want to Live a Juicy Succulent Life' by SARK (love all things SARK created). |
