| Introduction | Land manager in various capacities for 52 years – now retired. A life-long naturalist, managing natural and human impacted ecosystems was my vocation for more than 50 years and I've been photographing those ecosystems even longer. I've been taking photographs since the late 1950s, first with a camera that took roll film, then 35mm slides with a rangefinder camera; my first SLR was purchased in the early 1970s. In the early 2000s I bought a digital camera, the beginning of a succession of Canon bridge superzoom cameras, one of which still gets occasional use. Currently the vast majority of my photographs are taken with Olympus OM-1 or E-M1ii cameras and a variety of Olympus and Panasonic zoom lenses from wide angle to telephoto and a 60mm macro lens. |
