| Introduction | I have a MPH and PhD in Biomathematics from Yale in addition to an MD. I am currently Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and Professor at New York University School of Medicine. I was on the faculty of The Rockefeller University for 12 years and at Columbia University School of Medicine for over 20 years. My research activities have been supported by the National Cancer Institute, The American Cancer Society and The Population Council. I have also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health and Hospitals Corporation of the City of New York, Senior Medical Director for Policy at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and President of Columbia Presbyterian Health Services. I have authored many papers in peer reviewed journals, chapters in medical text books, and a book on Managed care published by Random House. |
