| Introduction | MY NAME is Sarah, and I am currently a 21-year-old student halfway through her senior year of college. Despite a desire to be an astronaut and live a life of sci-fi glory, I do not have 20/20 vision or the want to have a degree that would allow me to be an astronaut. So I want to be a filmmaker. I've done mild production assistant work and have only just learned mostly everything I know about the technical side (which remains minimal). Since I love movies in general, I rant and rave about movies. A LOT. I have seen many movies and not seen far many more. I am not pretentious about this, however, as Maid in Manhattan was totally my favourite movie when I was 12 and I still enjoy the occasional rom com. I also hold a grudge against the Oscars for horrifically snubbing The Dark Knight. I'm also a nerd. I grew up with Batman and Star Wars. I am absolutely in love with Battlestar Galactica. I read the first 5 Harry Potter books in 4 days when I was 13. I wrote fan fiction. HELLS YEAH. I also like television quite a bit sometimes. |
| Interests | Movies, clearly. I also enjoy celebrity crushes due to this obsession (i.e. Jamie Bamber's arms, Chris Pine, Anton Yelchin, and on... I could easily make a list of my personal Hottest 100 Male Celebrities). I also like music (orly? doesn't everybody?), which also constitutes performing music (I am a woman of many talents... including a weak piano, weaker guitar, but semi-decent alto saxophone and a mean penny whistle). I enjoy clothes immensely also not in the designer-hunter or I-spend-hundreds-of-dollars or I-follow-trends sense. Also, good television that is actually worth seeing lots of (i.e. Battlestar Galactica, Chuck, and only a few others). What else? Oh yes: writing, reading, talking, thinking, learning, watching, and theorizing about movies. |

| Favorite music | Not bothering to get too into this, but I love The Seatbelts most, I enjoy Snow Patrol loads, I listen to Phillip Glass (especially Solo Piano) and enjoy it, I like musical soundtracks, I love the Brick OST, I like various jazz musicians from the jazz days, I like classic rock and rock/pop from the 80s (i.e. Tears for Fears!), I never say no to The Beatles, Nightwish and some other metal entertains me, Spoon and Stars are good, Red Hot Chili Peppers are consistently quality, The Arcade Fire is amazing, Poets of the Fall is a good listen, and I like a lot of other music too. I've recently gotten more into pop music, thanks to Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert. |
| Favorite books | Being obsessed with movies and connecting more with them as a medium leaves me without much desire to read. I really liked reading the Lord of the Rings, the Harry Potter Books, His Dark Materials, A Clockwork Orange, and The Hunger Games however. |
