| Introduction | I'm Heather, a 36 year old wife and mother to two girls. After enjoying an exciting life abroad in my 20s, I married my high school sweetheart and settled down to raise our family in Iowa, which is where we grew up. I had bariatric surgery in January 2011 and have maintained my 160 lb. loss for over 2 years now. My surgery inspired me to become active but find a way to still enjoy food and cooking. I do this by running several days a week, eating light for breakfast & lunch, and eating well at dinner time. As I've gotten older, I've grown to appreciate cooking with butter, shredding my own cheese, and allowing Greek yogurt & veggies to be my favorite foods.
