| Introduction | Nursanita Nasution is a member of the national parliament of Indonesia. She was elected in April 2004 from Justice and Welfare Faction. Since November 2007 she has been engaging in Commission VI of DPR RI (Small Micro Enterprises, State-owned Company, Investment, Industry and Trade) She has conducted numerous trainings in her party as well as volunteered for NDI training of women in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. In her work previously as head of the women’s department of PKS, Nursanita always set training in the language of Islam and giving speech especially about women and politic in Indonesia. She strives for women empowerment in Indonesia and increasing the quality of life. She is a mother of seven children and also a lecturer at the Economic Faculty of University of Indonesia.
