Introduction	Assoc. Prof. Esra Arsan--- I used to work as a journalist for several national newspapers and magazines in the 1990s (Hürriyet, Milliyet, Tempo, Aktüel, Atv) in Turkey, then I moved to academia. I did my PhD on European Journalism and European Public Sphere. I am writing a weekly column for Evrensel Daily on media & journalism. I used to work as producer/presenter of a media analysis program called "Media Watch" on Hayat TV. Currently, as a faculty member of Institute of Social Sciences at Istanbul Bilgi University, Cultural Studies Graduate Program, teaching and doing research on political journalism and political discourse in the media.
