| Introduction | I'm a nurse about to embark on something I've always wanted to do. I'm going to do some voluntary work with VSO in Malawi. I'll be sharing my nursing skills and knowledge with student nurses in Malawi this will hopefully lead to some sustainable improvement in nursing care in the area. |
| Interests | Many and varied. I try to play golf, try being the operative word. I've been doing some glass work for the last 2 years and really enjoy being creative. Since moving to the country we have been walking a bit more although we always walked a lot in the city. Its a bit different with cleaner air here. Hopefully it will not be too hot to walk in Malawi. |
| Favorite movies | Could be anything from "No Man's Land" to "Apocolipse Now" or "East is East". Like music and books I watch films to relax. When I'm working all week I enjoy watching a film at the weekend to chill out. |
| Favorite music | I love most music. I listen to it in the car more than at home. I enjoy classical music particularly Mozart, Verdi and Tchaikovsky. I'm not too keen on garage or dance music but I like most other music from Snow Patrol and the Paulo Natini to Clapton and the other classics from the 70s and 80s. |
| Favorite books | I like a good fictional murder, spy story or thriller. Le Carres and Forsyth have been favorite authors for sometime. Some books I read over and over again but can't really say I enjoy them ie Martin Gilbert's "Holocaust". At home I read to relax whereas at work I read to inform. |
