| Introduction | spent her childhood years incubating like a fuzzy chick in an oxygen tent due to an immune disorder. Though largely self-taught in childhood, Hinsley obtained degrees from from Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University. At the age of 19, Hinsley was diagnosed with Bipolar and Schitzo-affective disorders, and soon after was diagnosed with the Parvo B19 virus which lives in the bone marrow and causes extreme joint and connective tissue pain. Also, due to immune sensitivity, she is rarely unable to leave the house. Hinsley has been blogging for one year, and has loved meeting her bold and brave readers, many of whom struggle with chronic illness. Currently at work on a memoir of her unusual life, Hinsley is keeping the faith, and finding new sources of inspiration all the time. |
