| Introduction | Mbita Chitala PhD (born 11 April, 1955) is a Zambian academic, Public Policy analyst, commentator and political activist. He has had a long experience as a political organizer having co founded the Zambia Research Foundation,the Movement for Multi Party Democracy, Zambia Democratic Congress and supported the Patriotic Front in 2011. He has also been a long time advocate for human rights, freedom of the media and African Affairs in general. Chitala has a Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Zambia. His PhD thesis was in Public Debt Management in Zambia. He is an authority in Public Finance having served as Deputy Minister of Finance in Zambia and lectured Public Finance Administration at University of Zambia. He last seved as Ambassador to Libya and accredited to Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Tchad, Mauritania and the Polisario Republic. He currently serves as an Investment and Finance Adviser at Comcapital Securities Ltd Limited and lectures Public Finance at the Zambia Open University. He is also the founder of Pan African Radio 105.1FM and a Director of KOZA Telecoms Limited and several private companies. |
