| Introduction | My pastel paintings reflect a lifelong love of the outdoors. I use this medium because of the immediacy and vibrancy of the sticks of pure pigment. The paintings mirror the environment with significant layering, texturing, dimension, and rich deep colors. My husband Steve makes handcrafted frames from local birch or oak for each of my paintings.
